Wisnu Auri participated in Art Jakarta with Sullivan+Strumpf with the series Mine//Yours (2025).
Wisnu Auri’s body of works shaped by a fascination with antiques that is a connection to memory, impression and recollection. His practice spans two- and three-dimensional formats, from drawings and paintings to mixed-media installations incorporating found objects and everyday materials.
In the series Mine//Yours, Auri explores the notion of the ever-present – the quiet, continuous pulse of being. His works capture fragments of memory, fleeting impressions filtered through our senses, then repeated, magnified, and suspended in time. These small, zoomed-in gestures are woven together with metaphorical imagery, flowers, a swan, a bird in flight, a glass of wine, a bubble, a shoreline, which are symbols that open portals to tenderness and contemplation.
Through this interplay, the works evoke intimacy not of exposure, but of attunement: the closeness of a breath, the trace of a glance, the serenity of a moment fully lived. In their repetition and layering, the images remind us that presence is not fixed, but revealed again and again – an ever-present invitation to dwell in the now.
